Turn up the music is the first single off Chris Brown's FORTUNE (To be released on March 16th) album. I was so glad when he performed it at the grammy's and now, less than a week later, the official music video has been released. I really love the video, it's very creative and the choreography? :o Mind-blowing. I'm so proud of how far he's come since the incident in 2009. He has a grammy now yaaaaay! It has been a while since I put up videos I like but now I have finally seen another amazing video that I couldn't not share. Its the video for Bez's song "Stupid Song" featuring Praise off his album "Super Sun". Now these two gentlemen have the most amazing vocals I've heard in a while; they sound kind of like John Legend. The song makes me remember stupid songs I had to learn in school, or songs we used to tease each other as kids. I miss Nigeria so much :(

PS. Bez's "Super Sun" album is amazing!! I mean, he is signed under Cobhams Asuquo's record label!! My favorite song off it is Zuciya Daya.
PPS. Another recent video that was really good was the video to Brymo's Ara. That video was brilliant.

Glee-hee (According Chris Colfer lol)

The Glee Michael Jackson episode was amazing!! I loved the episode even though my mum kept making funny remarks the entire time. My favorite number was "Human Nature" by Mercedes + Sam. Fox needs to release the official video to that asap. All the performances blew my mind away to be honest. Glee hit the nail on the head with that episode, my favorite one for sure.

Excited

I just found out that Immortal, Michael Jackson's next album, will be released on the 21st of November!! Only a day before my birthday. I think I'm such a lucky fan because last year Michael Jackson's Vision was released on my birthday. I'm really excited at the moment, I'm gonna pre-order it now.

Did I mention I finally got Maroon 5 tickets???

I can't wait for the concert!!
Its exactly a day before my best friends birthday so she is most likely going to receive a rowdy birthday phone call from me. But that's too bad lol.

ELI is finally herreeee.

ELI finally came out. I was very excited especially because my mama bought me the album from notjustok.com so I didn't feel left out ^_^

I really liked the album because it was really personal to Iceprince and also because Ive waited so long for it. The album launch concert was apparently crazy. Sad thing I could not be there live :( 

I have a lot of favorites: Wussup Wussup, See Myself, Magician, End of Story and Thank You.

My TOP favorite is Olofofo however and I would like to share it with you guys; its been on replay form 3 days now. Wizkid's bit is beautiful and Jesse Jagz killed the end with those chords. Enjoy:

Its been a minute ..

I haven't blogged in a while. I have been too busy. Also, because I've had so much to say and I tend to talk too much so I decided to wait it out to avoid boring you to death.

So, I don't know if any of you have ever heard the name 'Frankie Lymon'? He was one of the most amazing singers in the 50s and he started at a really young age. I first heard about him from the movie which was based on his life 'Why do fools fall in love' because we had to watch it in school. This is my favorite song of his:

Isn't he talented? He didn't really last long because he got into drugs until he OD'd which is why most don't know who he is. I know this is really random but I was watching Glee the other day and Blaine's (Darren Chris) cover of 'Its not Unusual' by Tom Jones totally reminded me of Frankie, don't ask me how.

PS. Glee is really good this season, contrary to my previous expectations for the new season. NO MORE RACHEL BERRY DRAMA! whew. She pisses me off. Now, its about everybody: Mercedes, Mike, Brittany and so on. Glee is keeping it less banal. Oooh, and Gossip Girl is also great this season, it's very fresh and Chuck Bass is .... (enough said).

Beautiful Imperfection

Beautiful Imperfection is an album by Asa. 

If you remember, I posted something about it in January around the time of its initial release. This time its different! Yes, Asa released the US special edition +2 bonus tracks and it debuted at #5 on the BILLBOARD WORLD ALBUM CHARTS!! I mean how cool is that? I said it before and I'll say it again, I love her, she makes me proud to be Nigerian.

P.S. It was also #3 a few days ago but its now back to #5 :(

Iceprince's debut album 'Everybody Loves Iceprince' finally has a set release date. The wait is over and now all that can be done next is to countdown to the final release date of 7th Oct and the album launch on 9.10.11. I'm very excited and I have very high expectations so I hope the album does good.

In other news.

I have been rather busy. I'm actually meant to be studying right now but hey, 15 minutes of distraction never hurt anybody did it? SATs in 3 days wish me luck guys. Fingers crossed on this one, will really not tolerate failure. Hmmphh.

Ba Ni Kidi

Okay so I wanna assume this video came out today, because Darey only tweeted about its release today. Anyway, I JUST WATCHED IT! And I must say, WOW. Like, I am amazed, lost for words, blown outta my mind. I expected the video to be very creative and nice after I saw the trailer/teaser or whatever its even called but I cannot say I expected it to be this amazing, no, I was shocked. It is fantastic and so colorful, its one of a kind really. Darey, has just set standards and raised the bar toooo high.  Like woah. Okay I'm  gonna shut up now but here's the video guys. Watch and enjoy (you will). I mean its impossible not to abi dem no born you well? (for my Nigerians lol). Ill shut up now bye.

Wiz Party!

My Nigerians just keep doing me proud like I'm just so happy right now. I just heard Wiz Party (yes, I know I am late but I am in freaking Vienna so no one should say anything) and I am just impressed, honestly, I am just sooo proud of Wizkid (Ayo Balogun) like I feel like he's my child hehe. God bless him, he's so talented and amazing and he should just keep it up and not change for anybody. His fans and supporters will be right behind him 100 percent always, with me in the lead as the #1 fan of course!!

 

PS: Wiz kid should better just kill it with an even better video otherwise ..

Beautiful People

I watched the Beautiful People music video today :)
It was really different from anything Chris Brown has done, but it still had elements of him in it. I think the video suits the song because the song is also nothing like his usual. I really loved the fact that it showed him having fun with friends. There were also some really cool celeb cameos: Ryan Leslie, Swizz beats, Pharell (I love him) , The Game, Bow Wow, Tyga, Estelle, T-pain (Lol, his dancing was epic), Nelly, Sean Combs (aka P-diddy), Omarion (haven't seen him in ages, he looked fit), Tayana Taylor, Brandy (it was really cute when she mouthed "I'm proud of you" to CB), Timbaland, and I could swear I saw Pete Wentz at the very beginning.

Jennifer Lopez is BACK bitches!

Jennifer Lopez recently released the video to her "On the floor" single featuring Pitbull. Jennifer Lopez was dancing like crazy and showing us she still has it in her. I love that song and the video also. But what I love even more? Her new single "Invading my mind"!! It was produced by RedOne and Lady Gaga. It is an amazing song. Tonight, Fox news will be airing the 16th episode of the 2nd Season of Glee (I cant wait as usual). Its gonna be the first episode with actual songs made by glee and not the usual covers. Anyway, contrary to previous statements made by glee fans, this will not be the season finale. There are still more episodes to come but they haven't been mentioned yet. I cannot wait for tonights episode because one of my mothers aswell as my favorite black actresses Loretta Devine will be guest starring :)

Hollywood Tonight

A new Michael Jackson video was released a few days ago and I watched it and I have to say I was impressed by Algerian-born dancer Sofia Boutella's skills. She was an AMAZING MJ. However, I still felt like Michael Jackson's presence wasn't strong in the video which is kinda hard to do seeing as he is dead. Anyway, its one of my best songs on his Michael album so I'm glad it atleast has a music video.
